For your listening pleasure, The Consultants have developed a one thousand episode audio lifestyle cheat-sheet. This thoughtful attempt to alter the behaviour of Radio 4 listeners consists primarily of sketches, puns and some songs...
Click here to build your very own Consultants sketch using their words and phrases.
The Consultants are:
Neil Edmond: As the eldest and slimmest of The Consultants, Neil is often mistaken for a withered stick. He grew up in poverty on a housing estate in Shropshire where he learnt the value of an empty belly and a clenched fist. In 1976 he won a trip to London in a pit-fight, during which he met Justin who taught him how to write things down. He now lives mainly in Vauxhall.
Justin Edwards: As the tallest member of The Consultants, Justin is permanently drunk and foul tempered. He studied shouting at Cambridge University before going on to a lucrative career as a rapper. He took early retirement when he was shot and eked out a living weaving clay towels until Radio 4 offered him a job on the strength of his posh voice and crisp vowels. He lives in a bar in North London and hopes to one day own a cigarette machine.
James Rawlings: As the youngest member of The Consultants, James is continually bullied and abused. However, his harsh years at boarding school, where he was sent at the age of five, prepared him for the worst that life could throw at him. Before The Consultants James worked as a waiter, rigger, copywriter, skipper, producer, barman, salesman, courier, photographer, drunk, deckhand, escort and very occasionally sold ceramic clocks in the shape of giraffes at Camden market. He is single and lives in a castle in Streatham.
