- The male silverback gorilla is the largest and heaviest of all primates
- The mountain gorilla is one of the world鈥檚 most endangered primates, numbering around only 700 animals left in the wild.
- Gorillas in the mountains eat a very impoverished diet, of only 62 plant species.
- Every night they will build nests in trees in which to sleep. This keeps them off the ground away from predators.
- The exact figure is hard to measure, but gorillas are several times stronger than a grown man.
