Meet Jayde Adams

Taking to the dance floor with one of our Pros has been a career-long dream for Jayde, who started off life in Bristol before heading to Wales to study Drama, Theatre and Media, and eventually heading to London to launch her career.
Stand-up comedy proved difficult to crack at first, but after her housemate heard her sing, Jayde found her place in the LGBTQ+ drag and cabaret scene. She went on to form an Adele drag act, become a founding member of iconic club night Sink The Pink and a host of the Might Hoopla pop festival, while performing stand-up on the side.
Comedy became her main focus when she entered the 2014 Funny Women Awards and took the winning spot with a hilarious mix of music and character comedy. In 2016 she performed her first ever Edinburgh Fringe Festival show, leaving with a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. She returned with new show Jayded in 2017, performing a sold out run, and again in 2018 with The Divine Ms Jayde, then in 2019 with The Ballad of Kylie Jenner’s Old Face. Jayde then recorded the latter show - renamed Serious Black Jumper - for an Amazon Prime special in 2020, and is set to embark on her first UK tour in 2023.
Outside of stand-up, Jayde is also a renowned TV personality, hosting Channel 4's Snackmasters and Crazy Delicious, as well as acting in the likes of Good Omens and Alma's Not Normal. She's also a regular on comedy panel shows such as Yesterday, Today & The Day

She's recently moved back to her hometown of Bristol, but now Jayde needs to pack her bags and board the Strictly train to Elstree, as her dream of performing in the Ballroom has finally come true!
