Farm Africa

is a charity that works in partnership with smallholder farmers and small businesses in eastern Africa to improve the quality, quantity and value of their produce, so that they can support their families with more resilient livelihoods.

The impact of climate change

The impact of climate change
African farmers are bearing the brunt of the climate crisis, with little support to adapt to climate extremes. Higher temperatures, lower rainfall and extreme weather events are reducing the yields, incomes and food security of farmers like Juliet.

Growing brighter futures

Growing brighter futures
Farm Africa taught Juliet about environmentally friendly, climate-resilient ways to farm. She learnt how to rotate crops, use mulch to help soil retain water and make fertiliser from goat manure. Her crops now thrive, even when rainfall is low.

Sharing knowledge

Sharing knowledge
Best of all, Juliet has shared her knowledge about sustainable farming, business skills and ways to make crops climate resilient with more than 250 other local farmers. Donate now to help more farmers in eastern Africa affected by the climate crisis.
