Former Casualty actor Shalisha James-Davis meets others, who, like her, have received a life-changing medical diagnosis and a future they never imagined for themselves.
Actor, Shalisha James Davis was just 28 years old when she heard the devastating words 鈥榶ou have a rare cancer 鈥� mucinous ovarian cancer鈥�. Now three years on and currently cancer free, she steps away from the dramatic storylines of stage and screen to share her own real-life story and connects with others, who, like her have faced a life changing diagnosis. Still figuring out how to move forward following her diagnosis, Shalisha wants to know how they have navigated their way to a fulfilling life.
The series explores the undeniable realities of living with a life changing or life limiting condition, but there鈥檚 also humour, lightness and inspiring stories of saying 鈥測es鈥� to life.
Episode 3. Shalisha meets Sophie from Pembrokeshire. She was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis as a child, with a prognosis she may not live beyond 30, but Sophie has embraced life and taken on challenges many wouldn鈥檛 dream of, and now at age 32 she鈥檚 aiming to be the first person with Cystic Fibrosis to row across the Atlantic.
