Village SOS – a new crime drama for ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio 4
Top crimewriter Val McDermid has penned a brand new murder mystery drama based on the Village SOS themes for ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio 4.
Starring Helen Baxendale as DCI Marion Bettany, Village SOS the drama finds Bettany and DS John Hodgson (David Seddon) investigating a murder in the beautiful Northumbrian village of Shilwick.
Though the residents of the former mining community seem reluctant to help, it becomes clear that the victim, Colin Arnott's plans to turn a deconsecrated chapel into a performing arts centre had ruffled a few feathers.
But was the scheme enough to provoke someone into murder?
Village SOS will run every weekday from Monday-Friday, August 22-26, at 10.45am and 7.45pm on Radio 4. An omnibus edition can be heard on Radio 4 Extra on Saturday, August 27 at 12 noon.
