Police in Crewe have been given more powers to stop and search people they suspect may be carrying a weapon, because of concerns about knife crime.
Cheshire Constabulary said it followed "a small number of knife-related incidents and serious assaults in the Nantwich Road area of the town".
The powers, which last until 04:00 on Sunday allow officers to "stop and search any person or vehicle looking for weapons, whether or not they have any grounds of suspicion".
The Let’s Ride cycling festival is being held in the centre of Birmingham on Sunday, meaning a and other vehicles for most of the day.
It will involve a 5km ride, starting and finishing at Aston University and a 10km walk at Cannon Hill Park, to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
Both events start at 11:00 and the road closures will be in force from 05:00.
A steam train is making a trip down a rarely-used railway track in Shropshire on Sunday.
The Clun Castle is making two journeys along the Coalbrookdale branch line - which hasn't been used regularly since 2015 - on Sunday afternoon, and hundreds of spectators are expected to turn out to see it.
Network Rail is warning spectators to stay off the track after what it describes as "dangerous and illegal behaviour during tours of Flying Scotsman" elsewhere in the country.
And drone-users are being reminded they're not allowed to fly within 50 metres of the railway.
