Harping on

Julie Howatson-Broster Julie Howatson-Broster | 09:56 UK time, Tuesday, 17 June 2008

Just received my filming schedule for the next couple of weeks and `wow` what a schedule it is! Thought all of the hard filming had finished - but apparently not. I`m also a little bit gutted as I was meant to be playing the harp for the Ian McMillan Orchestra in Denbigh`s midsummer festival but had to cancel due to filming for Not In My Nature.

Never mind, I realise these things happen as we have had to alter filming dates due to the British or should I say, Welsh, weather!

And to top it all, the week I finish filming for the programme I've been asked to appear on a particular shopping channel on Sky to sell beauty products. So this means yet another couple of nights away. I've been kind enough to invite my husband Aaron with me on this trip (thought I'd better had as we haven`t spent much time together lately). I just wish I could take the kids with me, but don`t want to take them out of school unnecessarily.

I've vowed to make it up to them over the summer holidays. Being self-employed does allow me to take time off with them during the school holidays and this is a lovely perk I must say. My mother was always home with me and my brother Bobby during the holidays, and I really do appreciate the time we spent together.
