Ali enters the fray

He packed a big punch in the ring and was as renowned for his soundbites as his boxing. would be useful in any fight. And the heavyweight legend has just entered the arena of the mid-term elections behind the Michigan governor .
She is seeking to overturn the state's ban on stem cell research which many believe could help to find a cure for Parkinson's Disease which the former boxer is suffering from. Ali and his wife Lonnie have issued a statement saying the state's laws are too restrictive, that the governor has been hindered in her efforts to attract stem cell researchers and businesses.
Her team point out that her republican opponent opposes embryonic stem cell research. Though he supports testing on adult stem cells.

Muhammed Ali is the greatest and we all should listen to him this time, like we failed to do the last time he stood up for what was right.

I think that Ali has Parkinson's Syndrome or Dementia pugilistica and not Parkinson's Disease . PS is caused by multiple head trauma prolonged over a period of time. It is not genetic and therefore, a different but often just as traumatic condition.
However, Ali may benefit just as much from the Stem cell research and his campaigning is admirable.

omg...the photo is frightening. I don't know what event this was, but Dubya is not worthy of being in the same room as Mohammed Ali, let alone actually touching him. How gross...

#3 is absolutely right. Just compare the way each handled their role in Vietnam: Ali went to prison rather than betray his beliefs, Bush found a way out that let him party and go to Harvard to "study" for an MBA. Bush betrayed his nation then as he is betraying it now. It says volumes about Ali's dignity that he let the man in the same room.
