Beauty and Cosmetics
Throughout history, many manufacturers of beauty products have battled against each other, to become the number one provider of creams, lotions, and make up to give the appearance of silky soft skin.
It isn’t easy to choose the right combination, as TV and Radio advertising gives you the impression that every product is the one and only beautifier you will need.
So, where do you begin?
I’ve always tended to buy a certain make, and stick to it.
However, Christmas and Birthday presents usually unearth yet another miracle anti aging process to try.
Mother Nature, so I’m told, also has a part to play in keeping both the outer and inner body beautiful.
I believe that the use of cosmetics although a blessing to some people, is in most cases just a money spinner. Better where possible to eat healthily, exercise, and use the plants and herbs nature has nurtured to enhance the feel good factor we should all be enjoying.
!Yes! I’m being fanciful. In theory, it would be wonderful to be able to get up in the mornings, and without all the rigmarole of putting on slap in order to look good, to swallow a pill or two to bring out all the beautiful qualities to be looked at and admired.
This will not happen in my lifetime though. So, it’s all down to common sense as far as I’m concerned. Stick to what you know. Beauty isn’t necessarily just cosmetic, or down to how much plastic surgery you can afford, to me, beauty is a kind word, a friendly smile, and an ability to understand your fellow human being.
You may not agree with this, but, I am blind, so, ugliness or beauty are portrayed to me in words.
I have to admit, this doesn’t stop me doing what most females do. I love to dress up, wear make up and nail varnish, and feel really chuffed when someone tells me how nice I look.
Eighteen months ago I noticed that one of our cat's eyes wasn't reacting to the light. The pupil just stayed wide. She was prescribed tablets to help protect the other eye, but eventually the sight went in that as well.
Cats seem to have astonishing memories. Provided doors were opened she could find her way out of the house and into the garden (she had been doing it for seventeen years).
I don't think our other cat, who's slightly older, would have coped as well. SHE is far too highly-strung. Kitty, however, seemed happy if she could lie in the sun among flowers she could smell.
Sadly, within a few weeks of coping so bravely, she became far more ill. We knew it would be her final journey to the vet's, but she died in the waiting room. She had a sweet nature.
