Shaking Radiators...can I nick that?

Talking of good names for bands I watched 'Later' with Jools Holland last night and saw Vampire Weekend! Not only are they quirky and weird in a good way I LOVE the name of their band...Vampire Weekend! Ace!

I have an earthquake story.. it happened whilst i was on a working holiday in greece, and the quake was over a seven on the richterscale, so it was pretty mental. we get tiny quakes there all the time, but mostly i just put it down to the regular hangovers that come with being a bartender in greece. ANYWAY it was in the middle of the night and all the tourists ran out of their hotells and into the streets crying and screaming, like it was armageddon or something, pretty freaky!! The Italians were the worst, jumped into their cars and after a couple of hour the roads were jammed with italians and their RV's, sooo funny, they couldnt get anywhere because there were fallen trees and rocks blocking the road.

I guess the reason i find it more funny than scary is that no one were really hurt, since it was at 5 in the morning, plus my dear friend and co-worker, swedish John, was so drunk he slept through the whole thing :) he woke up twelve hours later wondering why we were almost the only people left on the island :)

I have no Earthquake story, sorry.

And yes, Shaking Radiators is indeed a good name for a band.

Hi Dom, do you know that there's an award-winning Japanese novel which is currently made into tv drama, about stopping the giant catfish below the seabed from flipping around in order to save the world from earthquakes and the doom? My electric toothbrush fell off a shelf in the bathroom. It's taken me days to get over this. I've sent a letter to The Mail to see if they can do something about it.

I was in my flat, about 5 miles from Buncefield (which incidentally, I slept through), when the earthquake hit.

I had not long put my head down, and was basically just asleep when the earthquake struck. At first, I thought somebody had come into my room and was climbing onto or shaking the bed. Then I realised that it was just an earthquake, and was calm again.

'BOG QUAKE' not 'Blog Quake' - I checked up to see if Mum (who lives in Doncaster) was ok, as i work in Saudi Arabia and heard the news, and apparently she was on the toilet when it happened holding on for dear life !!!! Dom you're the best

I am prob supposed to leave a comment somewhere else but im an idiot! Just want to say i'm living in China n love waking up in the morn n believeing for a few mins that i,m back in England, this dream is normaly broken by the neighbours kid screaming before school.
As for your new water machine Chris they are so fab! I have one here n there's no waiting for a kettle to boil or kicking yaself for forgetting to put water in the fridge to keep cool. So i am soooo glad to hear i can have the same thing when i return to Eng.

im in lincoln so pretty close to the center. was just gonna get into bed, felt the floor shake as if something big had fallen over and i looked round thinkin wot the hell? then the windows were shaking like mad and rattling, it felt like the whole house was moving and the vibration sound was so weird..it was a surreal and scarey thing cus your first thought isnt that its an earthquake. certainly a night to remember lol

Only tremor I felt was when I let rip underneath my duvet at around 1:30am, Didn't feel a thing otherwise.

hey Dom, had a tremor when it happened, was expecting a massive truck to go past but it never did. very funny show today

wow Dom, topical - you should go live somewhere where there is real proper earthquakes, not like that little shiver last night.

We had serious wobbling here in Mansfield. Quite scary especially as it went on for ages.Couldn't get bact to sleep kept expecting it to do it again.If I remember the last one we had a few years ago was in the middle of the night too. Are Earth quakes nocturnal? HEE HEE ;o)

I woke up hearing the noise thinking that the garage door motor was playing up as that too shakes the bedroom (above the garage). So woke hubbie up, who thought that the bed shaking was me kicking the bed frame - how bloody rude! He was convinced it was me right through to checking on the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ news website when he got up for work at 6. Git.
