My theory: It's scientific fact

Post categories:

Dom | 15:06 UK time, Thursday, 25 January 2007

Hello to you bloggerloggers! Hope all is good with you! I have come up with a theory about food and weight and stuff. Before you poo poo it....consider it for a while. Then.... feel free to poo poo away!

The theory is this!!! If you have a real craving for a certain food...e.g indian takeaway or fish and chips - then I believe that your stomach starts digesting the food BEFORE you eat it. This has the incredible effect of reversing the calorific effects of food. Basically - if you WANT it - then it WON'T make you fat.

This theory is so ground-breaking that even scientists in places like America and China haven't heard of it. So - in a way - I'm leading the field in this. I call the theory 'FOODREADYWEIGHTLOSS'. Or... FRWL for short.

You may have heard on today's show that I bamboozled Dr Mark Hamilton from Radio 1. Now...he is one of the Most Respected Doctors in the World. And if not the world then certainly parts of Manchester. He claims the theory is so exciting that he thinks I'm something of a pioneer. And who am I to disagree?

So - I leave you with his thought. If you want to eat something - and your stomach is ready to receive it - then you - possible - maybe - won't put on any weight.

Have a nice day

(Dr) Dominic Byrne

Dom, you are a ledgend and I happed to think you are the best one out of the whole Chris Moyles show team, however I am almost certain that you are WRONG. I don't know much about how the body works, but one thing I know is when your stomach digests food, it bassically takes away anything that the body dosen't need. The human body does need some fat so this isn't digested. You have to burn off fat to get rid of it. This is only what I think, although I could be wrong. Well done for starting an interesting dissusion.

The disbelievers are just fatties, Dom. Do not listen to their doubts. I'm skinny as a latte and I can eat for Britain. That's because your theory works.

Bald guys are clever *and* virile.

Ahhh...The Wonderful World of Dom! Who knows what goes on in his head - it's pure entertainment for us listeners - keep it up!

I feel Dom should have his own show where he talks about amazing facts from around the world that just aren't true. It could be called 'Dom's Amazing Facts From Around The World That Aren't Facts At All'

Good work everyone!

Dom, i took youre advice seriously. so today, so far... ive eaten...
- flapjack
- cereal bar
- 2 cheese sandwiches
- packet of crisps
- chocolate mousse
- roast chicken
- jar of olives
- 2 cans of coke
...and ive not eaten my dinner yet. i did think intently about everything before i ate it, so hopefully weight watchers will be ok tomorrow night?? if not- its your fault.

ps- dom, it makes me happy that you seem to be speaking more lately... and doing more stuff on the show (like the dribbling thing) as i think youre very funny. but i fancy comedy dave.

Hey Dom,

You could also call this theory:

Dom's Outrageously Original Food Unfattening System

Acronym: DOOFUS

More catchy that FWRL, wouldn't you say?

Keep up the good work. And have a DOOFUS meal on us, pioneering must be hungry work!

This theory, albeit very plausable and funny, has to be said is pure guff. Good effort though next time why not try and re-explain other established theories such as evolution or gravity.
