A Chris Moyles update from me, Chris Moyles

Rachel | 13:42 UK time, Tuesday, 7 November 2006

Hello there blog fans and general people who are interested in reading about the personal and private lives of National radio broadcasters.

It’s your friendly neighbourhood host Chris Moyles here. Now once again I haven’t written a blog for a while as I have been busy writing and promoting my actual book, which is one of the best selling autobiographies in the current book hit parade!

So firstly sorry for that, but don’t worry because as you can see, I have a new blog which you are now reading, so PIPE DOWN!

So it’s been a while. I spent a week recently touring the UK on my book signing tour. Thank you so much to everybody who turned up (I met over 1200 people across the week) and hope you enjoy the book, which you will cos it’s ace.

A special hello goes to the two blind guys that I met. They both (at separate signings) wanted me to sign a copy of their book and pose for a photo on their camera phones. They each had a proper guide dog so I knew that they were really blind. Both said that they had enjoyed the book but had also enjoyed the audio version as they didn’t have to read it, which I suppose is a big help if you are indeed blind.

What scared me more than the fact that these guys with guide dogs had read copies of my book, was the fact that one of them had to delete some photos on his camera phone to make room for an extra picture of me. My Dad has perfect vision and doesn’t even know how to work his camera phone let alone delete photos to make space for others.

Speaking of which, was finally aired on ITV the other weekend. Me, Sophie, Mum and Dad and my brother Kieron were all there. We were thick as s***e! We won about £12.50 for our charities but we did have a lovely day. Vernon was born to do that show. Check it out this weekend why don’t ya.

Last night half the team went to see live in London. They were ace and even dedicated ‘Buck Rogers’ to me! I was very impressed. Then after the gig Sophie dragged me home and wouldn’t let me have a kebab as I am trying to be fit and all that. Instead we had some nanchos when we got in, not exactly the same but she was probably right. I must try and keep up with my fitness and healthy eating.

Anyway must go, the mobile fish and chip van has just stopped outside and he’s doing a two for the price of one on battered sausage today!!

Till next time, keep on rocking people .. or something

MOYLES

PS Please leave comments about the blog, or indeed your favourite fry up breakfast!

Hi Chris,

Was in the car with my daughter this morning and we heard the Davina McCall song - where can we find it on your blog???

Was sooo funny, Steve was remeniscing about an old song you did, and said was a long time since you did this kind of thing. He remembered 'This is my motor...' - the Martine McCutcheon classic 'This is my moment...'

Please release as a single the Davina single so we can get it... or let us know where to download.

Thanks

Bev

1 nicely fried egg.. soft but not too runny, no crispy edges....

Splash of woozy sauce and a dollop of ketchup....

All piled high like a big burger...

Pint of Tropicana Orange Juice - no bits.... (to be healthy)

Voila... Full Aussie brekky...

It's great being aussie as we get to nick the best bits from everyone, from breakfasts to football players!

I saw your book in a Bargain Books yesterday. I flicked through it and went, "You know what? Nah," like I was Chris Moyles casually belittling something with cursory apathy. It was quite a good impression, apart from me being a bit skinny.

Hi Chris! Can't believe I'm actually writing a blog comment at 12.42 in the morning! - yours is the first blog I have ever read and replied to!! - I know exciting isn't it! (supposed to be doing other important stuff but got a little side-tracked) Anyway I did used to work in a bookshop, until april, and although I haven't read your book yet (cos I'm broke) it is going to be top of my Christmas list... and if I were still working in my bookshop I would definitely put it on the top table and in noooo way would discount it (bargh humbug!) (and would put everyone else’s books below yours!) Incidentally if you do ever read your blogs, and happen to read mine, is there any chance you could happen to mention on air, to my friend Richard, that your book would be a very nice Christmas pressie??... just incase he's stuck! He listens when he's driving to work every day so would need to be between 7-7.20am.....
- a girl does need her Christmas presents!
Thank you, been really nice replying to your blog - you could say hello to Rory my car too.. he's fab, bit old and scruffy but I love him. (kind of like bagpuss! - sadly he can't buy your book.. cos he's a car)
Suz
Ps just to show how seriously I've taken my blog reply I've even spell checked it - sorry about the punctuation though.
