Robbie Williams, a cold and a secret gig

Post categories:

Chris | 15:52 UK time, Monday, 11 September 2006

ChrisI felt rubbish this morning for the radio show. I seemed to have caught this damn cold bug that carrie had and this morning I sounded rubbish for the whole show. I HATE taking time off so I went into work, but by 8am I wish I'd stayed in bed!

So back home straight after the show and I sat on the couch and watched Robbie's gig from Leeds which I recorded on my generic hard disc recording system(!) The gig looked AMAZING in High Definition and the crowd looked fantastic. Kind of wished that I'd gone now. Coming from Leeds as I do I've seen a few gigs there in the past including Madonna and Michael Jackson. Robbie Williams looked like a top gig too. There's a girl called Claire who plays keyboards and a bit of guitar for Robbie and she was looking very fine in HD. Speaking of looking fine, who the hell are those 2 FANTASTIC looking backing singers in Rob's choir?? Hubba and indeed bubba.

So I'm sitting here typing this now feeling all rubbish and full of cold, however I need to be fit for tonight as I'm heading to a secret gig.... altogther now ooooooh. I'll tell all about it on the show tomorrow but I'm really looking forward to it. Sophie's coming to it and she's bringing a special guest too. So exciting.

I'll be in work tomorrow (Tuesdsay) despite no doubt feeling like s**t. We've got more tickets to give away for the Scissor Sisters all day gig that they're doing for us on Friday. And Rob DJ's quiz which I always love (Incidently Rob DJ was at Robbie on Saturday in the golden circle bit ooooooh get him!)

Right I'm going now, Robbie is singing 'Come Undone' and I want to join in at home on the couch!

Peace, Love and Chicken and Chips

Secret gig? Old Man River and his Whistle Blowing Whippet down the local aint cool dude. Though the missus bringing a friend could be VERY cool. You know, a laugh, a few drinks, a few drinks more, then a few more, and god willing, you could be the filling in a Dj sandwich.

I dont think you'd like the Gold Circle, perhaps the cheaper seats further back would be more to your liking! ref the Blind man!
Reminds me of the old joke which im sure we can all join in the punch line on....."BUT DARLING, he said he was the blind man".

Sounds like you did well to keep going on air today, if I were you, I'd have pulled a sickie and just let JK & Joel annoy Dave for three hours.

Anyway, can't wait for your Girls Aloud exclusive tomorrow...

Cheers and chicken and chips!

God, I would love to have all 3. Well I had chicken tonight.

Sorry to hear about your cold. Hope it passes really quickly.

Last night I gave up the wine. I woke up in the middle of the night with a hot flush! Was that because of lack of alcohol or do I have your cold coming?! And no I'm not that old!

I'm trying to keep my mind occupied so I don't open that bottle that's calling from the fridge.

Hope the secret gig was a tonic - look forward to hearing about it in the morning.

I swear to God almighty high in the sky that whenever I tune in these days or even checkout the running order, you're always ill!!!! What the hecks wrong with yer man?? Chin up big fella, wipe away those sniffles and remember you have the best damn job in the world! Respect to you for soldiering on, though, and its not chicken and chips you need its fruit and veg aint it??

At the risk of sounding un-rock n roll I'll shut the hell up but you know how it is, tough at the top I imagine, lets hope that during ramble tomorrow we get more than blind talk after nine, so, like yer chest, keep it up, dont slouch.

I'm off for big mac and chips now, bye for now,
