Hey everyone - what's going on ? I simply...

Chris Evans | 14:49 UK time, Thursday, 11 June 2009

... have never been busier.

Have another retailers dinner tonight for the book, this time it's the high street guys - the Waterstones and WH Smiths of this world. Don't know what I am going to say yet though, as last week was so spontaneous. I am not a fan of repeating things so will have to come up with a new spin on the evening.

Also been trying to sort out a new car for a v well known pal, but it has all become too complicated so I have stepped aside away from the fray... Everyone wants his paws on one of their steering wheels.

Gearing up for tonight's sunflower sow -a-long, and then bracing myself for a weekend of best manning over in Ireland. The wedding is in fact on Monday so I won't be back on air until Tuesday - if I survive that is.

How about the boy and his headgear by the way...

    CLP lovely blog as always.

Loving all the poems today, wish I had half the talent of you lot.

Anyone got any ideas of how to help my dog stop howling.

Sadly her mum who was 14 died just before Xmas and she is still pinning poor thing.

I have given her a cuddly teddy for her bed and extra bedding.

But as soon as we go out the house we can hear her.

It's so sad she is 9 and just not used to being on her own.

    Thanks

Was gonna put this on previous blog, and I feel it would be a waste, so I'll bung it in here...I wish the weather would break here, it is SOOOOOOOOO muggy (not choosdee) and ma heed feels like it's gonna splode!

Anyhoo, Scoob, pink wafer biscuits...I've just had to cut the G-I-A-N-T brownie (other girls associations available) I purchased just this very lunch time, into four, to share with the others in the ossif. As a result (although it was deLISHus) we are all feeling a bit sick.

Sorry, digressing, SO the last time I had a pink wafer biscuit, I seem to remember breathing most of it in, and being given the Heimlich manouvre by my Gran'ma...and she died in 1997...so not had one since!

so, SBeep, please, wot is (or who is) Emo?

Bingo...I was considering a Bl00dy Mary and just adding water to the seed. Mind you, would be nice if I had somewhere to grow a sun flar...sob!

...and Rips, after 'genius' you lost me I'm afraid...I have slightly less interest in cars (and was a fortnightly Grand Pricks widow for WAY too long) than I do in Football...I was thinking of Chris's beloved Enzo...having paws...was my Poirot type deduction Miss Lemon...

    'Ode to Sun Flars'

If I could grow a sun flar
It would be so bright and tall
    And all the next-door neighbours
Could see it o'er the wall

    I'd pour a Bl00dy Mary
    And watch the seedling grow
Then it would be the winner
In the comp on Chris's show

If I could grow a sun flar
It would be so bright and tall
    And all the next-door neighbours
Could see it o'er the wall

The folks would come far and wide
    To see this wondrous bloom
Van Gogh would want to paint it
    To hang in his bedroom

If I could grow a sun flar
It would be so bright and tall

    Mistletoe, fab news!

I'm also a proud mum todsy; teen 1, who finished her GCSEs yesterday and is already doing voluntary work in Oxfam, has got a Summer job working at the solicitors where she did her work experience - hours to suit! She's still going to do Oxfam also as she's meeting lots of great peeps, including a 90 year old shop assistant who swims twice a week!

And Debbie, belated congrats to you teen for passing his driving test - it took me 4 gos as well.

Here's to teenagers and students everywhere, they're not bad at all really!

Evening all, from a rather tender rosieposie, was out on the lash last night, on the wine and then the vodka.... never a good combo! A nice plate of chilli and pot wedges has sorted me out a wee bit but still feeling a bit rough around the edges...

What a cute photo of the wee man, he's a little charmer!

Well done to everyone celebrating successes this week... took me 3 goes to pass my driving test!

ARF: Happy Mondays- Step On por favor

    Gracias

Now, while I'm not a footie fan, you've all got to STOP making jokes about Newcastle. Right????

Although my lovely friend Dek will be laughing fit to bust (he's a Sunderland fan).

Mistletoe: Doesn't matter how old they are, eh?

My oldest boy and his wife, after years of hoping, are having their little girl in September. Am so happy for them.

All my lot (3) were rubbish at school, all went back to college in their twenties and got MSc's in Archaeology, Politics and Social Policy at uni. Am so proud of them. And they are wonderful parents. It's so nice, isn't it, when they turn out to be nice people?

Hey Annie, it was only a matter of time before an Edinburgh meet came up! Think a few bonkers bloggers would just add to the mix at festival time!
