ALRIGHT IT WAS CHARLES DENTON !
He is the man from Molton Brown !
He was fab, extremely affable and everything. As it turns out however we will not be working together in the future. I woke up this morning and although his ideas do seem to be inspired, they are primarily commercial and compared to my world, frankly, a bit dull.
So, now that I've turned my back on another probable fortune, this is the man who told The Spice Girls to go sing when they first came on the scene, let me tell you about a brilliant new book.
Well how's about a teaser for tomorrow ?
It's a book that helps us discover the energy inside us that largely goes untapped. In a man's case enough to power several nuclear bombs, if he were to save up one or two of his potential four gallons of sperm. Four gallons of sperm in a lifetime by the way !
Don't forget ALL REQUEST - THE FIRST RECORD, it cometh from the blog guaranteed.
Off you go then.

All request suggestion..............
Always look on the bright side of life....guaranteed to get you whistling along
Hi everyone.
I'm knackered! I had two job interviews yesterday and one today. Now it's just the waiting game. I've mentally rejected one - mainly on the grounds of it being in a very rural location and some "out of hours" commitments. I love Mr Diva way too much to work evenings and weekends - sorry if that's icky, but that's how it is! I'd be happy to get a second interview for either of the other two - each has its own benefit in its own way. I'll keep y'all posted!
I have been lurking for the past few days and the comments have, at times, made me laugh aloud, thus making Madam Meeeow look at me with quizzical eyes.
As for ARF: I say we go with The Cult's "Little Devil" - is there a better way to kick-start the weekend!?!?
If my track is chosen can you please dedicate it to all the gang who are meeting down the King's Head on Saturday night to celebrate Woody's birthday - ta very muchly!!!!
Spag Carbonara tonight - yum!!
CtD xxxxxxx
Whats Molton Brown one and all,
is it soap?
Soap on a rope perhaps.
Anyway if people don't quite match your expectations in life this is what I say. It would be my ARF choice too.
How about 'Sweet HOme Alabama'.....always improves the mood and gets the weekend off to a fab start!!
ARF - Stone Roses - Elephant Stone - pop perfection
MfR - The Drifters (choc bar?)
KWx
What about "toast" as an opener for the friday show. there was a snippet on popmaster today
Justified & Ancient by The KLF - a good way to start the weekend x
Hi Everyone!
Spice Girls- Who do you think you are. That is my request. Its a perfect song to start the weekend. And it seems ages since I was in London to see the girls. No matter what people say, to me there are 5 wonderful women all of who I admire! GIRL POWER!!
So I haven't been on here recently. I have been posting on my blog but for some reason it hasn't been working. I don't know if its just my computer or the actual blog. If someone could let me know.
I have been knitting little hats which are made of 100% cashmere yarn and hoping to sell some soon! yippee! I might put some on ebay as a tester so keep a look out people.
So Chris please play my song. If you do I will love you forever! Love to you all xx
Go on Chris ... let Dan have his way.....
The Power of Love by Huey Lewis......

Gingembre
I thank you my friend.
I shall sleep tonight, just like the lion.
The Drifters. Of course. That leaves me free to plunge headlong into the rest of the alphabet, such as E, for, um, blimey, there must be someone with 'egg', or, jeez, this wasn't such a great journey to embark on, was it?
I'll check with the adjudicator if 'Eminem' is OK.
Any road.
ARF? I've got a horrible speech to make soon (not a 'horrible' speech, just having to do one is horrible, I hope. God, what if it is horrible?) and I am going to use 'Magical Mystery Tour' in it (too complicated to explain, but I think it works).
So that's my choice.
The Fab Four.
Peace & love
MfR
How about "blame it on the bossanova" by cliff richard - it always makes me want to dance
Okey dokey one and all that's me. Back to God's own country for a couple weeks.
Norn Ireland this time. And am taking a friend to the glorious Giants' Causeway and over the Carrick-a-Rede bridge. I've told her to bring the vertigo pills but she thinks I'm kiddin'.
Last time I went there I had a message from the daughter saying, "Mother. Do NOT go over that bridge." So I sent her a picture, taken through me feet of the ocean-dashed rocks below and the words, "Eee these shoes are damn slippy." Hurrah.
So. Happy ARF everyone. A propos of absolutely nowt, can I suggest Brim Full of Asha by Corner Shop. Always makes me laugh for some reason and since I'll be batterin' me way off HMS Titanic, a titter is just what'll be needed.
MfR. Good luck with the speech, kind thoughts are with you and Mrs. MfR.
CtD. Same again re. the job-hunting. Keep at it, you're right not to jump at the first thing that comes along. All will be well.
And CateD. That's a bit spooky. I missed the first hour tonight and just heard the request for songs suitable for crepes suzette; marvellous, methinks, Blame It On The Tosser Nova. But have bin' rackin' me brains ever since to remember who sang it. Mind you I still think it was a girl... d'oh that'll drive me mad now.
Right. Ta ta for now. If you can't be good, be careful. And if you can't be careful, remember the date.
Clodagh.xx
1st tune friday....
Labour of Love by Hue & Cry
FOUR GALLONS!!!! Hell!
As for the ARF! There must be room for some Base slapping action (oo-er) Level 42 - The Chinese Way in honour of The Chinese New Year!
With the full Live version Thunderbirds introduction 5-4-3-2-1 you know the rest!
DD out
MfR...
...thinking of you and yours today x

Please play Baby you're a rich man' by the Beatles for me cos I've had a really stressful week at work and I haven't heard this in ages and think it's fab!

Morning. Before I go...
Last night I was flying again. Just outstretched me arms, leaned forward and I was away. Soaring, up and over, floating on a cloud of bliss.
Then I came to, or so I thought. Except I was unable to move a muscle. I felt calm and peaceful and then a familiar tapping on the back of my hand. I tried with all my might to open my eyelids so as to see my dad sitting on the bed, my hand in his one hand and strumming his fingers with the other, as he always did. But I couldn't, I just felt an overwhelming peace and the words, "Go on, Valerie Bombshell, you can do it."
I'm told this is just the brain entering into consciousness before the body catches up. But I'm happy in in my own eejit head it was the Dear Departed Daddy telling me I'm ok.
So to any of you out there going through the horrible loss of a loved one, I'm taking your hand and strumming my fingers on it just like my daddy used to, and telling you you'll be ok.
A Bientot.
Watch yerselves.
And ARF. Brim Full Of Asha. Ah go on you will, you will...
Clodagh.xx
Bloody Hell.
How many times to I have to do this before it's accepted.

It may be a bit left field but lets start the show with Ariel by Dean Friedman. I know it's cheese but who can resist l lyric like.. I said "hi" and she said "yeah I guess I am"... love it!!
Morning gang
mfr - good luck today. Nuff said.
So - what did we think of Ashes To Ashes last night? We didn't see Life On Mars but thought we'd give this one a go, being as we both grew up "proper" in the 80s. Fab!!!! So funny and so well captured the era. And the London skyline - how different was the South Bank by Tower Bridge pre-DLR and Dome!!
Now, I know I've already requested The Cult for ARF but for some reason I've had a certain song going round in my head since last night (could it be the 80s influence?) So, if I may throw into the hat ...
The Story Of The Blues by The Mighty Wah!
CLP - please save me 79p by playing The Mighity Wah! - that'll be the cost of going on a certain download site and buying it - the only way to get it out of my head!
I'll be cooking a pork jalfrezi whilst listening to ARF tonight - maybe with a glass of cheeky Merlot too - who knows!!??
Laters peeps!

Once again...
Primal Scream - Loaded.
Please. Please. Please. Please.
Especially as it took on a whole new meaning at 05.55 this morning, when a certain person decided that would be the best time to get home, turn on the bedroom light, get in to bed, totally steaming, and then talk sh1te to himself until it was time for me to get up.
Primal Scream - Loaded. Then I can turn up the bass REALLY loud to pound along in time with his hangover.
Another Friday already. Another dollar, another grey hair...
Good luck with the speech MfR...three lovely deep breaths before you start should do ya...and he's waiting to take you away...

Hello Cathy, CLP stands for Christoffe Lambie Pie.
Molton Brown products are lovely. Last time I used some was at Buckingham Palace!
Mum and Dad were awarded MBE's for charity work a few years ago. Me and my sister just had to go and check out the Queen's loos! Well you just have to don't you! Ok, so I know she goes nowhere near these toilets but if you're in Buckingham Palace you can't miss anything out!
Missy, I would love to hear 'Who Do You Think You Are' by the Spice Girls too. Or that song about electric dreams, is that what it's called? By Phil someone.
