Playlist 23 February
Greil Marcus mentioned that he loved the Adverts first single 'One Chord Wonders' which immediately made me forgive him for overcomplicating rock and roll music with his books. He didn't mention it to me , of course, I mean that I read it in an article. The single's release was marked in a Stiff RecordsÌýadvert (naturally) in the NME which read - 'The Adverts Know One Chord , The Damned Know Three - Hear All Four OnÌý Tour.......'
Also tonight , two MC5 songs to mark the sad passing of bass player Michael Davis. They're down to the MC2 , indeed.
