Comic movement
The most obvious forms of comic movement are exaggeration and repetition. There are many iconic comedy moments from television programmes that arguably live longer in our memories than the programmes themselves. One such moment is actor David Jason as Del Boy in the popular sitcom, Only Fools and Horses, falling in the pub after the counter has been raised without him being aware of it. This was obviously a carefully rehearsed moment that depended on timing and an apparent complete unawareness on the part of the actor as to what鈥檚 going to happen.
Comedian Harry Enfield created a teenage character, Kevin, a caricature of a sulky and moody adolescent. His body language reflected this with the character slouching and shuffling along with his hair continuously in his face.
