The United Nations have issued 17 ambitious goals to try and build a better, fairer, and more sustainable future for the world.

Sustainable Development Goal 6 aims to ensure everyone in the world has access to safe, clean water and has adequate sanitation.

There are many parts of the world where access to safe drinking water is difficult and poor sanitation can cause illness and disease.

  • Climate change is linked to more extreme weather events, including droughts and floods.

  • Each day, nearly 1,000 children die due to preventable water and sanitation-related diarrhea diseases
