Understanding English with scarce knowledge of the language was like banging my head against a brick wall. I always wished to master this language but my school friends used to think that I had got my head in the clouds. Years have passed since then, since the first time I looked an old English book with colourful and funny pictures inside, wishing to be capable of reading it. I have made enormous effort to make my wish come true. Besides, it has taken me a lot of courage to take a trip to England on my own and immerse myself in the real English environment and culture. But I would dare say it has all been worth it. Now, I feel confident to say that I have not only learned the language, but I have also achieved my Masters degree in English Literature. This has proved to my school friends that I have an old head on my young shoulders. As a result, they have also started improving their English. More importantly, they have learned a more significant lesson, that nothing is too difficult to be achieved in this world if you are enough determined.

My grandparents and their complete lack of rabbit-like cunning schemes made me what I am: a young girl who's got her head in the clouds and enjoys it enormously!
