  • First is first and second is nowhere. It's about performing when it matters and how you deal with yourself on the track. First and foremost, do your talking on the track. Raising your game at every championship is what it's all about.
  • It's about enjoying it. You perform so much better when you're relaxed and when you feel that there's not so much pressure on you. It's taking that attitude into pressured situations and performing when it counts.
  • You've got to be immensely dedicated and you have to make some sacrifices, but it's all worth it when you cross the line in a fast time. There's no greater thrill. What you put in is what you get out.
  • Make sure that you fully concentrate and don't get distracted by everything around you. It's about being totally focused on performing and getting the most out of your body.

  • I hope people can relate to me because I progressed through all the age groups in athletics. If I can do it there's no reason why they can't.

You should always have dreams. When you've got dreams and you've got passion, the hard work comes easily after that.
