Gors Maen Llwyd
Run by the North Wales Wildlife Trust, Gors Maen Llwyd near Denbigh is the largest of the Trust's reserves. Its 280 hectares surround Llyn Brenig and combine a range of habitats.
It has peat bogs and heather moorland which support birds such as the black grouse and a range of birds of prey. A hide is available from which to view the wildlife without disturbing it.
Rare plants and insects relish the peat bog, and the area is part of the Mynydd Hiraethog Site of Special Scientific Interest.
