    It's been good to have the Championship back, hasn't it? It's all to play for as we resume the season in the second tier.

    It's been a long old day, with scattered kick-offs galore, from the snowy thumping of Blackburn by Preston to Sheffield United drawing level with leaders Burnley.

    But this is where we leave you. We'll be back to tomorrow when the EFL action resumes.

    League leaders Burnley travel to managerless QPR at 13:00 GMT, looking to extend their lead at the top back to three points after Sheffield United's win today.

    At 15:00 GMT Watford take on Hull City. A win for the Hornets would see them go from sixth to third.

    • Stevenage failed to close the gap on inactive leaders Leyton Orient as they were held to a goalless draw at home by Mansfield who climb to fifth.
    • Swindon missed the chance to move into the play-offs as they and AFC Wimbledon couldn’t find a breakthrough and shared the points after another stalemate.
    • Kyle Knoyle lashed the only goal as Doncaster won 1-0 at Newport to move into the top-10.
    • Brendan Kiernan’s deflected header and Niall Maher’s flick helped Grimsby to a 2-1 home win over Tranmere, for whom Jake Burton got the consolation. Town are up to 14th, ahead of Rovers on goals scored.
    • Sutton pulled away from trouble with a 1-0 win over 10-man Colchester, who remain second-bottom. Rob Milsom slotted the only goal from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage-time while Ossama Ashley saw red in the second half after a second caution.

    • Billy Sharp's first goal of the season is enough to give Sheffield United a narrow win over bottom-of-the-table Huddersfield. The Blades are level on points with leaders Burnley, who play tomorrow.
    • Teemu Pukki's goal in the opening minute is enough for Norwich to claim three points at Swansea.
    • Stoke and Cardiff play out an entertaining 2-2 draw.
    • Kolo Toure's first match as Wigan boss ends in a 1-1 draw at Millwall.
    • Rob Edwards' first game in charge of Luton ends in a 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough after Amari'i Bell was sent off for the away side.

    • Conor Chaplin’s brace took Ipswich top of the table as they saw-off Peterborough 2-1 in the lunchtime kick-off.
    • Plymouth missed the chance to reclaim top-spot as they were held to a goalless draw at Cambridge while Sheffield Wednesday are now three points back in third despite Callum Paterson cancelling-out Jake Caprice’s long-range strike in stoppage time to ensure a 1-1 draw with Exeter at St James’ Park.
    • Bolton missed out on the chance to close the gap on the promotion places as they allowed a 2-1 lead to slip to lose 3-2 at Shrewsbury with Chey Dunkley grabbing a stoppage-time winner.
    • Derby were also thwarted as struggling Burton’s Victor Adeboyejo’s 12th goal of the season cancelled-out James Collins’ opener for the Rams in the Derbyshire derby.
    • Forest Green Rovers moved away from the foot of the table after edging the Gloucestershire derby 1-0 against Cheltenham, Brentford loanee Myles Peart-Harris got the only goal 15 minutes from time.
    • Bristol Rovers left it late to see-off Port Vale 1-0, with Aaron Collins curling the only goal from the edge of the penalty area after 87 minutes.
    • Fleetwood left it even later to secure all three points at MK Dons, Dan Batty netting in the 90th minute after Carl Johnston had cancelled out Warren O’Hora’s opener for the hosts.
    • Lincoln City and Wycombe shared the points in the day’s other game to beat the weather.

    The Canaries hold on for the points.

    Teemu Pukki's goal inside the opening minute of the game proves enough for Dean Smith's men who win on their return to Championship action.

    Swansea had plenty of possession, created a lot of openings, but just couldn't find the equaliser.

    Middlesbrough 2-1 Luton

    Matt Crooks' late, late goal gives Michael Carrick's men all three points and consigns Luton to defeat in Rob Edwards' first game in charge of the Hatters.

    The away side took the lead through Jordan Clark's goal before Chuba Akpom levelled for the home side.

    Amari'i Bell was sent off for the away side with 18 minutes to go and they could not hold on for a point.

    It ends all-square.

    Cardiff took an early lead before going behind all in the opening half.

    Callum Robinson then equalised just before the hour mark and the Bluebirds looked the more likely to grab a winner but it ends honours even.

    Sheffield United go level on points with league leaders Burnley.

    Veteran Billy Sharp scored with a classy finish from Iliman Ndiaye's through ball in the first half for his first of the season.

    Huddersfield battled well in the second half but remain bottom of the table.

    All over at The Den and the points are shared in Kolo Toure's first game in charge of Wigan.

    Will Keane had sent the Latics ahead but Zian Flemming's stunning leveller before the break rescued a point for Millwall.

    It finishes goalless in this one.

    Birmingham had felt hard done by after Maxime Colin's goal was disallowed for offside on the verge of half-time but Blackpool hold on to end their four-game losing run.
