Time for the third-round draw.
Johns Aldridge and Barnes are doing it. Both former Liverpool players... and Tranmere managers.
Forest Green 0-3 Brighton
Warren Aspinall
Ex-Brighton striker on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Sussex
I'm delighted for Evan Ferguson. He worked his socks off tonight, and there were loads of under-23 players on that pitch at the end.
The draw is going to be soon, I'm told.
FT: Tranmere 1-2 Newcastle
Newcastle United
Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe to Sky Sports: "We had to really grind out the win. It was a tough end to the game. We had to be physical with our defending. That last part of the game pleased me the most.
"We take set-pieces where they come. They were well-worked and planned. Tranmere were committed and we had to match that. Credit to the players because they did. The two goals came from Kieran Trippier's quality of deliveries.
"We're really happy to get through. We had to pick a team we felt could get through the tie off the back of a game we felt we had given everything. We had to stand up and be counted.
"I thought our captain, Jamaal Lascellesm was heroic in his defending as well. He responded like the captain he is. He led by example and put his body on the line. He didn't want to come off but we had to protect him at that stage.
"We had a lot of the ball so had to be creative to open them up. We didn't do that enough so that will be something we go back and review.
"Chris Wood has performed really well since he's joined us. It's great for us to see. His movement is very good. We ideally wanted to protect Trippier but you know the difference he can make and he's won us the game with those two deliveries. Also how we defended the set-pieces too - that's just as pleasing as the attacking ones.
"We know that responsibility is on our shoulders. We were desperate to go through. We want to take every game with the same seriousness and we will try to win everything we compete in."
On rumours Newcastle are looking to sign Alexander Isak: "I have no idea, I have been preparing the game... On the transfer front, we will wait and see. I actually don't know what's happening so we will wait and see. We know we need to improve numbers in the squad. If there are any outgoings, that will be a late call within the club."

We saw the game out comfortably in the end after upping the tempo in the second half. It could have been tricky, but we got it done.
Tranmere 1-2 Newcastle
Newcastle United
Newcastle man of the match Kieran Trippier: "We played fantastically against Manchester City but it was a different challenge tonight. Coming to places like this is always difficult.
"We work hard every day in training on set-pieces and attacking them. Chris Wood deserves that goal. He works so hard in training every day.
"It would mean everything [to have a cup run] but we have come so far in a short period of time. We need to be patient, take it a step at a time and keep building as a team."

Newcastle matchwinner Chris Wood to Sky Sports: "We knew it was going to be a tough game. On a Wednesday night, coming here live on TV was always going to be tough. The home crowd gave them energy. We had to work our way round to get the win. They caused us a lot of problems."
On Kieran Trippier's quality: "We saw it at the weekend. We know his quality and that’s why he's in our side. He's one of the best deliverers of the ball in the league. We have to make sure we get in there."
