    Sheff Wed 0-0 Wycombe

You'd be a brave man to bet on a goalfest at Hillsborough tonight.

Sheffield Wednesday have netted 19 times in 27 matches, while Wycombe have scored 18 in 26 games.

    Cue a 3-3 thriller.

  2. League Two latestpublished at 19:02 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2021

Paul Mullin has his 22nd goal of the season but it's little comfort for League Two leaders Cambridge, as they trail Salford 4-1.

Ian Henderson got the Ammies fourth, after they lead 3-0 at half-time.

  3. KICK-OFFpublished at 19:00 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2021

Right, we're off in the majority of our games now, as most are slated for 19:00 GMT.

Only Fleetwood versus Doncaster is yet to kick-off, that's down for 19:45 GMT.

Unless they've changed their kick-off time as well...

  4. Chance to move out the drop zonepublished at 18:57 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2021

Plenty of eyebrows were raised when Tony Pulis was sacked as Owls manager on 28 December after 10 games in charge.

But while Sheffield Wednesday remain in the drop zone, results have improved under interim boss Neil Thompson - the 4-1 thumping by Millwall on Saturday aside. Victory tonight takes them out of the bottom three.

For their opponents it's very much a case of now or never if they're going to avoid an instant return to League One.

Wycombe are 12 points from safety and have only won three of their 26 league fixtures. Could well be cagey this one.

  5. Millers grinding out precious pointspublished at 18:55 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2021

    Rotherham v Cardiff (19:00 GMT)

Rotherham United have been the archetypal 'yo-yo' club over the past four seasons, with relegation followed by promotion, by relegation and then promotion.

Paul Warne is desperate to buck that trend this season, and his squad has responded brilliantly of late - taking 13 of a possible 18 points in their last six games to climb out of the relegation places.

That form will be tested tonight even on home soil, as Mick McCarthy's resurgent Cardiff are back on track with three games unbeaten.

The Bluebirds soared to a confident and dominant 2-0 win over Bristol City last time out, and in former Millers loanee Kieffer Moore have a striker equally restored to his powers with three from three.

  6. League Two fixturespublished at 18:53 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2021

Carlisle had to postpone their game against Leyton Orient, which had been scheduled for the unusual time of 14:30 GMT. It's not the four day week is it?

Barrow against Exeter is also off after numerous pitch inspections.

It's been a rip-snorting start by Salford against league leaders Cambridge. Three to the good.

Tranmere and Newport will be buoyed in particular, as they look to reduce the gap on top spot.

That's one of two games already under way, with the remainder getting going at 19:00 GMT.

    • Salford 3-0 Cambridge (17:30 GMT)
    • Harrogate 0-1 Cheltenham (18:00 GMT)
    • Barrow P-P Exeter
    • Bolton v Morecambe
    • Newport v Southend
    • Scunthorpe v Bradford
    • Tranmere v Stevenage
    • Walsall v Mansfield (18:45 GMT)

Niall Ennis has put Plymouth in front at Accrington, meanwhile.

    • Accrington 0-1 Plymouth (17:30 GMT)

Both tonight's Championship games come from South Yorkshire, where the first games fell to the cold snap - yep, the same one which seems to show no signs of departing.

An in-form Rotherham look to give their survival hopes a lift against Cardiff, now with a new manager at the helm in Mick McCarthy after Neil Harris' departure.

Sheffield Wednesday, meanwhile, entertain bottom-of-the-table Wycombe, with both clubs after points to ease their relegation stresses.

It's one of those nights where you can see your breath in the chilly night air, where floodlights beam down in bright shafts onto crunchy, green shards of grass and where nothing stings quite so much as taking a blaster on the thigh - the type that leaves its imprint on your skin.

Where the snow and ice haven't taken their toll, we'll have the best of the action from this evening's games across all three divisions of the English Football League.
