Watford - as they have been quite a lot this season - look a bit passive.

They're fifth in the league, so the style seems to work for them, but you can't help but think they should be dominating these kind of games.

A long way to go, though.

This game is hotting up now.

It's a lovely flowing Coventry move, involving Gustavo Hamer, Julien Dacosta and Jamie Allen, and ends with a Hamer header from around 15 yards which is saved fairly easily by Daniel Bachmann.

Ooh err!

Andre Gray attempts an audacious dink over Marko Marosi but the Coventry keeper backtracks well to tip it over.

Did the Watford striker mean it? I'm not sure.

Leo Ostigard is late to a challenge with Watford's Troy Deeney and concedes a dangerous free-kick.

Ken Sema strikes it from 25 yards but it's comfortably wide.

The hosts manage to string together a decent move and Gustavo Hamer has a go from range but sees his effort charged down by a Watford defender.

Watford right-back Jeremy Ngakia makes a mess of a simple pass in midfield and there are audible groans on the away bench.

A bit more quality needed from both sides.

Three Coventry players I've liked the look of lately - Gustavo Hamer, Callum O'Hare and Julien Dacosta.

Hamer is chopped down in the middle of the park by Watford midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah and the hosts have a free-kick.

A slow burner here so far.

Coventry striker Max Biamou gets in behind visiting centre-back William Troost-Ekong but rushes his shot somewhat and drags it wide.

It was a lovely though ball from full-back Sam McCallum to find him, though.

The St Andrew's pitch doesn't look perfect, but remember both Coventry and Birmingham are using it this season.

It's pretty dry though, so we will at least complete the game!

Referee Graham Scott blows his whistle and Coventry get us started.

Watford will rise to fourth - for a couple hours at least - if they win, while the Sky Blues are just four points above the drop zone and could do with more breathing space.

Coventry lost for only the third time at home on Tuesday, as Nottingham Forest came from behind to pick up a precious three points at St Andrew's, and Mark Robins' side haven't suffered back-to-back home league defeats since March 2017.

The Sky Blues haven't played at home to Watford since a 0-0 draw in August 2011, while the Hornets have had four goalless draws on the road this season.

If there is to be a goal - and we sincerely hope so - Ismaila Sarr might be the man. The Watford forward has scored in the past two meetings between the sides.

Both sides make three changes after suffering 2-1 home defeats in the week.

Right-back Julien Dacosta comes in for his first Coventry start after impressing off the bench against Nottingham Forest, with Michael Rose and Jamie Allen also recalled.

Will Hughes and Joao Pedro surprisingly drop out of the Watford side, with Andre Gray and Ken Sema among those to come in.

They had an inspection at Oakwell at 12:00 GMT and Barnsley v Derby has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Wayne Rooney's Rams also had their game at Rotherham on Tuesday called off because of the weather - that match was rescheduled for the following day and they lost 3-0.
