  1. CLOSE!published at 10 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Derby

Teemu Pukki breaks the Derby offside trap and squares for Onel Hernandez at the back post, but Nathan Byrne is on hand to deny the Cuban.

Norwich are dominant - I'm not sure this defensive shape is suiting the Rams.

  2. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Derby

Marco Stiepermann takes a low shot from just over 20 yards but it's well held by Derby keeper David Marshall.

This game has settled into a pattern of Norwich possession and probing - Derby need to get legs around Wayne Rooney in attack if they are to be effective on the counter.

    Norwich 0-0 Derby

Xavi Quintilla gets down the left for the hosts and his cross is just about cleared by Derby centre-back Matt Clarke.

The Rams are banking up at the back - Phillip Cocu is clearly concerned about the goals his side have conceded this season.

An early look at the formations tells us Derby are lining up with three at the back, with Wayne Rooney playing as a striker.

Can the former England captain - and his country's record goalscorer - roll back the years?

    Here we go then.

The floodlights are on - it's a gloomy day in Norfolk.

Let's hope the football can brighten up our lunchtimes a tad!

    Norwich v Derby (12:30 BST)

There's lots of handshaking and fist-bumps among the Derby players as they pump themselves up for this one.

Norwich look a bit calmer as they trudge onto the Carrow Road pitch.

A bit of Fatboy Slim is played over the public address system - a safe choice.

  7. Derby's new pink kit gets first outingpublished at 12:24 British Summer Time 3 October 2020

    Norwich v Derby (12:30 BST)

This afternoon sees Derby debut their new pink third kit, having launched the strip on Friday.

The Rams are donating £5 from each adult third strip sold to a breast cancer charity.

There's a certain irony that Norwich are their first opponents in the kit - the Canaries famously painted the away dressing room at Carrow Road pink in 2018, a colour that is said to lower testosterone levels and have a calming effect on people.

    Norwich v Derby (12:30 BST)

Derby have shipped eight goals in their opening three Championship matches and are looking to avoid losing their opening four league games of a season for the first time since 1965-66.

It's been a mixed start for Norwich after their Premier League relegation, the Canaries picking up four points and sitting in mid-table.

They've won just one of their past eight league meetings with the Rams - with their last meeting a 4-3 win for Derby thanks to Jack Marriott's last-minute goal.

Centre-back Ben Gibson makes his Norwich debut and playmaker Emi Buendia makes his first appearance of the season, but there's no Ben Godfrey or Todd Cantwell in the squad as both are being linked with Premier League moves.

Derby boss Phillip Cocu has shaken things up, Curtis Davies and Duane Holmes among five players to come into the side. Wayne Rooney looks set to play as a striker.

Norwich: Krul, Aarons, Zimmermann, Gibson, Quintilla, Rupp, Skipp, Emi, Stiepermann, Hernandez, Pukki.

Derby: Marshall, Byrne, Davies, Clarke, Buchanan, Shinnie, Evans, Knight, Holmes, Jozwiak, Rooney.
