Hampshire beat Lancashire by one run

Hampshire captain James Vince tells Sky Sports:

"We seem to have found a way to get over the line in these games.

"Our bowling attack has been top draw and we've been able to defend small totals in this competition and get wickets at crucial times.

"Our never say die attitude has come through again, we never feel like we're beaten, and stay with it until the end."

Hampshire beat Lancashire by one run

Hampshire bowler Nathan Ellis tells Sky Sports:

"The last over, I was fully aware I bowled slow balls in the semi-finals, I thought they may have seen that, so I just wanted to bowl something pacier.

"It was a good wicket then the sun went down and some dew came in, we had good pace and carry, I knew they were going to come hard but I thought if we can get early wickets we can win the game."

A well deserved victory for Hampshire. I saw them win it in 2012 and I was ten years old! Now I've seen them win it again in 2022. I've had to sit down because my legs are shaking!!

So Hampshire are now three-time winners of the domestic T20 competition - only Leicestershire have also won on three occasions.

It's their first trophy since beating Kent in the 2018 One-Day Cup final.

And maybe it won't be their last this season as they are second in the County Championship - currently 15 points behind Surrey.

I've never seen anything like that.

Hampshire were celebrating. The fireworks were going off. Then the umpire outstreched his arm to signal a no-ball.

Nathan Ellis held his nerve superbly to win it for the Hawks though.

UNREAL from Hampshire! I've seen them do it time and time again. Spinners do a great job and great captaincy. One of the best finals I've seen in a long time. Lancashire will be very VERY disappointed.
