He finishes with 4-29 and it's a comfortable victory for Surrey in the end.
Will Jacks did the damage with the bat, scoring 70 runs off 24 balls as Surrey posted 223-7.
Paul Stirling led the Middlesex reply but once he, Stevie Eskinazi and Eoin Morgan went, the hosts had little chance of victory as the required run-rate increased sharply.

Sam Curran gathers the loose ball, turns and has plenty of time to roll the ball onto the stumps at the bowler's end.
Sowter was well short of his ground.
It's all so futile for Middlesex.

A futile swing of the bat from Luke Hollman sees him out for a duck, and Sam Curran gets his second wicket with his final ball of the over.
This game was pretty much over as a contest when Eoin Morgan departed.

Tom's brother Sam Curran had a mixed time at the start, with three runs off his first over and then 18 from his second.
He returns at the death to help Surrey see out what will be a comfortable victory.
Chris Green and John Simpson can't dig much out as the left-armer bowls a tight first three balls of full deliveries.
Simpson then strikes out, but can only find Jamie Overton at deep midwicket.
Middlesex 150-4 v Surrey 223-7

His first two overs went for just 10 runs, and the right-armer keeps it similarly tight here.
Add in a run-out and two catches - one of them an absolute peach to remove Stevie Eskinazi - and Curran will be saying the blue headband he's sporting is a lucky one before too long.
One of John Simpson and Chris Green needs to do a madness to win this one for Middlesex now.
They've brought up the 150 but now need 74 from three overs.

Sensational over from Gareth Batty.
He goes away with a slight limp, after catching one ball on his left ankle.
The Surrey skipper has figures of 1-14 from his three overs, and the visitors are closing in on victory.

Max Holden hasn't found it easy to get into the groove, and goes after trying to force things.
The left-hander leaves his stumps exposed to the spin of Gareth Batty while looking to make space to hit out.
The game is really drifting away from Middlesex now.
Chris Green has come to the crease, and the hosts need a miracle.

But then Morgan goes on the attack, and is caught by Tom Curran at deep square leg as he fails to connect properly.

The spinner then beats the bat of Max Holden, who hasn't offered much since coming in.
Holden is almost run out chasing a single, then Moriarty throws in a wide down the leg side.
Morgan retains the strike off the final ball of the innings.

Now Eoin Morgan attacks.
He shuffles down the pitch to smash Daniel Moriarty for six at the longest part of the ground.
Then it's another maximum straight down the ground from the England skipper.

Tom Curran continues and the pressure continues to build.
He bowls four dot balls as he mixes up his deliveries.
With two more full deliveries, Middlesex can only register singles.

Eoin Morgan gets his first four, slapping one away to wide midwicket despite mis-timing his shot slightly.
Three singles follow, the last from a yorker, before Curran finishes with a dot-ball bouncer.
Middlesex really need to trade in boundaries to stay in the hunt. Stevie Eskinazi has 36 from 32 balls.
