Shot down during a WW2 Bomber Command raid - and captured; John Martin's Story, Part 2
Wynne EvansAvailable for over a year
John Martin, a 95 year old RAF veteran who now lives in Cardigan, shares his story of incredible danger and bravery during World War Two. His aircraft was shot down in Germany in 1944, killing two members of the crew. John managed to open his parachute, and landed in the countryside just outside Berlin. He didn't know where he was, he was injured and confused, and it was dark - and then two enemy soldiers came towards him. John tells his story in five parts on the Wynne Evans programme, as part of our special programming to mark the centenary of the RAF.
