Despite reservations about Ehsaan being a Muslim, Avantika鈥檚 father agrees to bless their wedding. They get married and leave for New York to start a new life together.
As soon as they arrive at their destination, Avantika manages to find a job for Ehsaan at the local University. They also decide to look for a house but much to Avantika鈥檚 surprise, Ehsaan is not keen on her choices.
Eventually they find a house located in an Indian neighbourhood which they both like.
Avantika听 is rather surprised to discover the surrounding neighbours being conservative Muslims abiding to strict Eastern lifestyles. During dinner time, she is taken away from Ehsaan into another room where she has to dine with women only.
Such restrictions have been set by Nasreen and her husband Bhaijaan, who happen to be neighbourhood heads.
Whilst everyone looks up to them, one young woman, Salma, is against their conservatism. She surreptitiously visits Avantika asking her not to trust anyone. She also reveals her own life is in danger and that she is in need of help.
So what follows next are a series of bizarre events. These turn Avantika鈥檚 life upside down driving her into a tangle web of emotions that spin madly out of control.
