Imran Khan plays the kidnapper
The abductor, Kabir (Imran Khan), wants to speak only to her father, Vikrant Raina (Sanjay Dutt). Vikrant is an affluent New York-based Indian businessman, with whom Kabir has an old score to settle.
Vikrant returns to India to rescue his daughter from Kabir's clutches. But in order to set Sonia free, he must carry out a series of daunting tasks set out by Kabir. At the end of each task is a clue helping Vikrant to get closer to Sonia's whereabouts.听
Sanjay Dutt plays a father figure
Is his mission as easy as it seems? How far will a father go to save his daughter? What redemption is there for Kabir at the end?
Kidnap is veteran actor Sanjay Dutt's first release of 2008, and co-stars the latest teen sensation Imran Khan, of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na fame.
The musical score has been composed by Pritam. The film is directed by Sanjay Gadhvi, who also directed UK box office hits Dhoom (2004) and Dhoom 2 (2006).
Kidnap is an edge-of-the-seat, slick thriller released by Studio 18 on 2 October and promises compelling viewing as the big Eid festival release.
