The bogbean and lily leaves in the second picture make it a real winner in the Big Photo Comp. 10/10.

Awesome pictures, thanks for sharing
Arnish Lighthouse from Stornoway
fantastic pics. for me the blackand white one of the cog wheel (?) is the best. Gosh! just checked the name - that's a hotel in the background! is it still used, is it inhabited by the Adam's Family? looks great for Cluedo murder mystery....
scallowawife from shetland
Scallowawife, just checked with the other half, who is a Harrisman. The Rodel has been getting renovated as when finances allow, the pub is still open - and from my hazy recollections serve a fine dram

The Rodel Hotel is alive and well. There are some photos of the inside (lovely) on my archive entry for 02march (since there was only a late ferry..). It is inhabited/run by a nice couple, nothing like the adams family, although it would be a great place for a Cluedo type night.
Isles Pictures from Grimsay
Keep posting your pix FAB
John from Leeds
the photos of all the western isles are lovely-as the isles and the islanders are themselves, only hic-its so expensive to get there, especially if you live one hour from the med and it would be a lot nicer spending summer in the islands than here where the heat is 34-35 in june, july and august!!!
