Mac is just gorgeous, Ruth. I particularly like the photo where he's shaking himself dry. He seems to enjoy life!

oor wullie from in awe and admiration
As usual Ruthie, you're too late, you should've done this weblog posting last week, and maybe saved me from the humiliation of another beating from the flying one. If only????
Tws from I Belong to Glasgow
Sorry, should o pointed oot, Mac used to be my dug, but he's been Muness Views dug for a year or 2 noo. Oor Wullie, the green thing is his dalek. A squeaky toy.
Ruthodanort from Unst
Yun looks like one happy dug.
Hyper-Borean from The Doghouse
WOW it seems you've restored the balance quite well!!
Michelle Therese from Mooooo!
Thank goodness for a bit of balance and even-pawedness...

Donna from Shetland
It's not a polis box any more, it's a d.o.g kennel...it's just out of shot in the dunes...you should hear the noise it makes on take-off...words can hardly describe...Donna may be close...
Flying Cat from Cat House
Those pictures are from the archives, are they not? How about some new ones? Gives you hone your well developed skills. Is Mac back with you, Ruthodanort? He is a nice looking dog.
mjc from NM, USA
Great 'action' pics. Mac looks like he's enjoyin' himsel
Duncan (man wi' 3 dugs) from Brum
Hooch is eternally grateful of some Dog company in the blog world. Terrific pics as always
Barebraes from Shapinsay
It's quite touching how little things will make a d.o.g. grateful...
Flying Cat from tossing a small furry thing
Mac is most certainly NOT back with Ruthodanort. Although Damadcoo will be Mac-sitting soon. It proves she can take a good picture when she has a good subject.
Muness from Fetlar
mjc, yup, I admit, the last 3 are from the archives. But Mac looks so brilliant in them I just had to include them..... The 'shake' pic was taken on Sunday last.
Ruthodanort from Unst
You do the Shake 'n' Mac, and put the sweetness back...oh...maybe not...
Flying Cat from shakin' dat ass...
A shaker dog. Can he make furniture? We had a dog once, called him the Engineer 'cos every time someone came in he made a bolt for the door.
Hyper-Borean from Behind the woodpile
Not bad, Hyper-b., not bad. Oh, and did you mean to say you were taken "behind the shed"?
mjc from NM, USA
I see you have indeed redressed the balance and your title has not caused IB to Hyper ventilate. We wil all be singing do dah, do dahs next.
Lerwick Trevor from REdressing........Yes
Mjc I can't think what you mean.
Hyper-Borean from Find me!
To get whipped (or is it "whupped"?), paddled, behind the woodpile is probably the same as getting it done behind the shed. I am really ignorant here: my pa and ma never waited long enough to get me behind either before the punishment was meted out. Such was the early life that led me, unfortunately, on the straight and narrow...
mjc from NM,USA
Ruthie babe, what can I say, have you had your hair done? You're looking good today, if only eh? Well I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry etc. etc. It was a slip of the qwerty, it was FC using my user name to get me into trouble with you. That's it. If all else fails blame FC.
Tws from Bags Packed, just in case, oh bags, case, lol..
what can i say,,tws??"""your boots are maee for walking???hitchin a ride-------
tws's weather girl from here
Greatly enjoyed meeting you (and the young academic) on the 7th and hoped to see you last Sunday (23rd) on returning to Lerwick after terrific holiday, but didn't see you aboard. You missed out on a rather unpleasant crossing. It would be good to know that you are well.
Rabmastiff from Shetland West Mainland
Hi there! So good to hear fae dee! Yes, I missed the boat back, but knew I would by the time Friday evening came along, so booked myself on flights instead. Glad I wasn't there if it was really bad tho. However, I was afloat on Sunday, on a yacht in a regatta, in a Force 10 I believe! And it was ACE! Although we had to retire due to torn sails, and out of the 30 or so boats that started, only 4 finished. I had a great time tho. I'm going back again for a week in October, and also for Christmas. Flying tho, now that the Noronna has stopped visiting us! My parents started their Hurtigruten trip yesterday, a trip long in the planning, so I hope their weather is ok. By the way, the academic had a great time in Bergen, and is looking forward to his next trip.
Ruthodanort from Unst
Really pleased to hear from you too and to know that all's well. I'm sure your parents will have a fantastic time even if it's only half as good as our trip. Perhaps it'll be twice as good. Tell that academic that he's to stick in at his studies or no next trip to Bergen! If I need help with the new blog I shall seek your advice, if you don't mind. Need to master the picture bit. Your yachting adventure makes our passage seem very tame, and so I sign off somewhat chastened.
Rabmastiff from Shetland Mainland
The Academic???? Who?
Muness from Fetlar
Now now Muness, be nice.
Ruthodanort from Unst
Yes I'd be happy to help Rab, as I'm sure all the rest o the bloggers are as well. The pictures can be tricky, I use my photo programme to shrink my images to under 200 kb then all is fine. Although currently I'm experiencing problems with my browser actually uploading them, so I have to stick it all on a pendrive and do it from another computer. A bit of a pain, but it doesn't take long if I'm prepared.
Ruthodanort from Unst
I downsize to max 400 height or width, which means putting them on desktop in two lots (landscape and portrait) and they are always 200kb or less. But I'd like Ruth to tell me exactly in a 'teacher to idiot' sort of a way, how to do live links at the side of the blog. I have no idea how previously 'dead' links mysteriously became live. It's monkey see monkey do here...
Flying Cat from picking brains
Ruth and Flying Cat: thank you.
