I wouldn't get so het up over this, Arnish. As I understand it about 200 people 'complained' (or did they just say 'could have been better'?) out of 15,000, that's a fraction over 1%. Don't forget these people were invited to give feedback and I bet you a survey anywhere would have at least 1% of people complaining (probably the same people!). These are probably folk who come from the big city and, god forbid, might even have come from London where life is led at a pace that would leave Hebrideans dizzy and where bitching and moaning is part of the 'fast' culture.

As I said in my piece, this is the first time I've heard of actual complaints, and I gave the mitigating circumstances. I totally agree, it's usually the moaners that will give feedback. It leaves 99% who were broadly satisfied.

Referring back to your recent blog about the new Mike Uniform rescue helicopter Arnish - I don't think any of us expected it to be used to find a holidaying Airport Traffic Controller who was fishing on the island so that he could be recalled to duty to cover staff shortages at the Airport and keep it open. Can your eyebrows go any higher?
