Not tonight we don't. Midsummer? Bah humbug!
Flying Cat from under a cloud
ooh nice photo's Arnish, male staff will have his work cut out to match these! He did have some really good ones of sunsets over Taransay, but they've gone walkabout. Staff are heading to Harris in July, so no doubt the cameras will be well used. As for me, well I'll be left in charge of the Senior staff and the Downstairs Cats!

Nice photos, Arnish. Don't sunsets get any redder in the northern isles? Here in NM, blasting fiery reds are not uncommon (isn't that so, MacQ from NM too?).

That last snap started me off singing the old local anthem - "The Town Hall clock of Stornoway chimes it's message every day. Heaven can't be far away from lovely Stornoway."

Well it came and went here and we never even noticed. We have been in esterlies and north easterlies for so long that we have cornered the market in fog/mist/low cloud (take your pick or perm any two out of three). I hope that being in the lee of the big island you enjoyed clear skies and a fine shortest night.

Go to Moo's blog and see how the real ring saw the solstice. I just live on the wrong side of the hills.
