Has the cable to the mainland suddenly got a lot cheaper or is it possible that LWF set the number of turbines so high in the first place to make it seem like a victory for the anti's when a much smaller proposal is put forward?

Quite agree with Swampy. I was convinced all along that the plan was to overstate the number and then make 'concessions' until the true number planned was reached. I hope those who object to this desecration of Lewis don't fall for it and campaign strongly until the correct number is reached, and that of course is zero.

Unions and employers have been doing this "DANCE" for years, employers offer 1%, the union demands 8% and finally they agree on 4%. A stupid game that those in power like playing, I assume!
