Apparently, this sort of meeting is illegal as it contravenes the rules of committee. You can't exclude certain members of the Board from a meeting, under whatever pretext. I think it's time someone took legal action against the instigators of this clandestine meeting. Comhaire nan Eilean Siar, your chance?

How can you have a secret meeting in Barvas for goodness sake? Where do you hold a secret meeting in Barvas? What's the matter with the cailleachs there that they can have strangers in their midst without knowing about it? Where are we going to be if the ancient art of curtain twitching is dying out - how will we keep one another in check? Before long there will be secret Sunday ferries if MacBraynes think no one from the island is watching. I imagine they convened behind the garage or in a corner of the show field? If they need somewhere quiet in Ness the Fank site can be had for 拢13k, the standard relocation cost on the island or maybe the Eoropie bochan as that's little used these days. I want answers to this worrying trend in minding one's own business - it's not on...
