The blurb alongside one of your excellent photos mentions mentions Callanish Air. Is this a new venture on the West Side. I saw a lot of roadrollers over there back in August. Is there are a runway at Gravir? If this is the case it'll be closer to Ness than Stornoway and a blessing for all at the BUtt

What an amazing site! There's quite a bit about the standing stones and giants graves on Arran but is by no means complete. Could only find reference to the ones most popular with the tourists

It will be a be a real bad thing if the talked about 133 wind turbines are aproved to be put up along the top of the sleeping beauty. This and callanish together form part of the same neolithiic site assiciated with the southern lunar standstill, which may only happen every 18 yrs but it still happens (this year is a lunar standstill year) lets hope someone see's sense and the massive importance of this site as a whole.
