Which 20th Century event had the most impact on the lives of women? Jenni hosts a balloon debate at Epsom racecourse, where in 1913, suffragette Emily Wilding Davison was fatally injured as she tried to seize the reins of the King's horse during the Derby.

The motion for debate is: which 20th Century event had the most impact on the lives of women?

Taking part are historian Professor Joanna Bourke speaking for the impact of the two world wars; Dame Stella Rimington, former Director General of the Security Service MI5 on the fight for equality in the 1970s; social historian, Juliet Gardiner on labour saving devices in the home; broadcaster Lowri Turner champions contraception and journalist Claudia Fitzherbert speaks for the suffragettes and the vote.听
