Later this month North Korea will be taking part in high level talks with 6 nations including China, South Korea and the US in an attempt to reach agreement on its nuclear programme and to ease the military tensions in the area.
But whilst the world's focus is on a possible nuclear threat there is also growing evidence of human rights abuses including forced abortion and the testing of new chemical weapons on women and children.
Reporter Kevin Kym talks to Kye Pak (not her real name) who attempted to defect from North korea but she was repatriated from China and imprisoned and forced to have an abortion.
North Korean human rights activist Mr Kim Sang Hun is visiting the UK this week to ask the UK government to act. He joins Jenni with documentary maker Eva Ewart who has recently uncovered new evidence of abuses to discuss what they have found.
