Last Sunday night in the mountain village of Lauro just above the Bay of Naples, there was a Mafia killing. But this assasination was different from previous killings.
The two women who died were sisters and in their 50s. They were killed along with one of their daughters, aged 16. However, their attackers are also believed to be women from a rival Mafia family.
Up to now, women have been involved in ordering assassinations, but actually carrying them out has remained a man's job. Clare Longrigg is the author of Mafia Women. Martha asks her whether this is a disturbuing departure.
