More deaths in Sudan protests

Sudanese security forces have fired tear gas and live ammunition to disperse protesters setting up barricades in Khartoum. Four people have been killed on the first day of a general strike on Sunday, according to doctors aligned to the opposition.
Police in Kazakhstan have arrested hundreds of people protesting against a poll to elect the country's first new president in 30 years. The election was called after long-time leader, 78-year-old Nursultan Nazarbayev, stepped down in March.
A refugee has recently been granted asylum in Switzerland after receiving an award for his work on human rights. Abdul Aziz Adam was one of hundreds of refugees held in detention on Manus Island, part of Papua New Guinea, after they tried to make it to Australia.
