'Tommo' and his friends are keeping alive one of the most eccentric traditions to be seen around the UK.
Once a year, the Brambles Bank sandbar in the middle of the Solent becomes home to the annual cricket match between keen rivals the Royal Southern Sailing club and the Isle of Wight sailing club.
As giant ships pass by, the tide retreats sufficiently to expose a strip of pitch, and Tommo and his friends - appropriately dressed in whites - unload cricket stumps and a scoreboard from a flotilla of small boats and let play commence.
Included in Tommo鈥檚 team for the Royal Southern this year was the legendary yachtsman Sir Robin Knox Johnston.
Considering it takes place in the middle of the sea, the match attracts a considerable crowd.
There鈥檚 just about enough time for a handful of overs per side before the tide rushes in again and people must scramble for their boats - and head home for a celebratory dinner.
The score is immaterial - the sailing clubs take it in turn to win every year!
