Anita Anand
Anita Anand has presented Any Answers since 2012. She also presents Radio 4鈥檚 PM and the annual Reith Lectures.
Anita started her journalism career as political correspondent at Zee TV going on to present the talk show The Big Debate and the documentary series Raj Britannia. In 1997, she was promoted to European Head of News and Current Affairs becoming one of the youngest TV news editors in Britain at the age of 25.
Since joining the 成人快手, Anita has presented The World Today and Outlook on 成人快手 World Service, and, for Radio 5 Live, she co-presented the weekday Drive programme with Peter Allen, as well as hosting the late-night Anita Anand Show.
Anita’s television credits include Newsnight and the Daily Politics on 成人快手 Two, and The Sunday Politics and The Heaven and Earth Show on 成人快手 One.
She also presents the Empire podcast which explores the stories, personalities and events of empire over the course of history.
Away from broadcast, Anita is a renowned author. Her first book, Sophia – Princess, Suffragette Revolutionary, was published in 2015. Koh-I-Noor – the story of the world’s most infamous diamond – which she co-authored, was published in 2017. Her book The Patient Assassin won the prestigious PEN Hessell Tiltman Prize for History in 2020.
