If you鈥檙e of a certain age, you鈥檒l know that Deniece Pearson is no stranger to No.1 hits, having been lead singer of 鈥�80s pop band Five Star, dubbed 鈥楤ritain鈥檚 answer to the Jackson Five鈥�.

After all these years this is the first time I鈥檝e really believed in myself enough to go it alone.

During her time in Five Star, 43 year-old Deniece had six Top 10 singles, played two sell-out tours, lived in LA for over a decade, won a BRIT award and even met the Queen - not a bad CV! But now, she鈥檚 found her own voice and wants to go from 鈥楩ive Star鈥� to solo star.

She鈥檚 recently been performing in the West End in 鈥楾hriller Live鈥� but is ready for a fresh shot at the charts. She blew Sir Tom away with her rendition of Christina Aguilera鈥檚 鈥楩ighter鈥� and now she鈥檒l have to be a fighter as she heads towards the battle round.
