Adhya Shastry
Adhya is 17 years old and started dancing Bharathanatyam, the classical Indian dance form when she was 9 years old at the performing arts group Kalakunj in Reading.
She has been learning contemporary dance and ballet at The Place CAT scheme since 2019 and attended the Yuvagati CAT scheme in 2016. She is now a member of the 2021-22 National Youth Dance Company.
Her future goal is to keep dancing and enjoy wherever dance takes her. She wants to work with and learn from lots of different artists whilst also creating her own work and exploring her way of movement.
