Presenter of The Film Programme

Antonia Quirke started her career as a trainee reporter on the radical London free-sheet The Camden New Journal. Since then she's reviewed movies for The Independent on Sunday, The Sunday Times, the Financial Times, and writes about radio for the New Statesman. Her MODERN CLASSIC on the movie JAWS is one of the BFI's best selling titles, and her movie memoir MADAME DEPARDIEU AND THE BEAUTIFUL STRANGERS was cherished by J G Ballard and David Thomson, and described as 'a comic success at a dizzy level' by Clive James.
