The hidden benefits of humming
Breath-work expert and well-being coach, Jess Parkinson, says humming could improve your health.
Speaking to 5 Live Drive's Sean Farrington, she says humming and breathing through the nose can help "increase blood flow".
"It opens up the airways to aid breathing, but it also has anti-bacterial and antiviral properties, so it can actually help in fighting off viruses," she says.
"It's calming on the nervous system as well, it's a bit like singing."
