Helena Bonham Carter: 鈥業t鈥檚 a dirty word, isn鈥檛 it, ageing鈥�
Award-winning actor Helena Bonham Carter joined Nuala McGovern on 成人快手 Radio 4鈥檚 Woman鈥檚 Hour to discuss the pressures she鈥檚 faced as a woman in the TV and film industry, and why she thinks women reach their 鈥榩rime鈥� later in life as they grow into their power.
She鈥檚 played everyone - from royalty like Princess Margaret in The Crown and the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland - to Bellatrix Le-strange, one of the iconic villains in the Harry Potter films.
Now Helena is taking on a very different role in the ITV drama Nolly, created by Russell T Davies. She plays Noele Gordon, who starred in the hugely popular TV soap Crossroads in the 60鈥檚 and 70鈥檚.
